The all-new Roubaix Sport now delivers uncompromising compliance by introducing a radical new Future Shock 1.5 that gives you more control on rough roads, and a new Pavé seatpost that creates our most balanced Roubaix yet. In addition, check out aerodynamics that are the same as the Tarmac, and a Rider-First Engineered™ frame that has lost some serious weight. Is it still comfortable? Sure, but don't call it a comfort bike, because performance was at the heart of every technical decision we made. This is the new Roubaix.
This Roubaix Sport offers great value, but like the frame itself, this value does not come with compromises. We've specified it with Shimano's 105 11-speed groupset for its crisp shifting and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, as well as smooth and sturdy DT R470 disc wheels. Not forgetting, of course, the all-new S-Works Pavé seatpost, 28 mm Turbo Pro tyres and our favourite Power Sport saddle.
The new frame delivers compliance without compromise thanks to the perfect balance of aerodynamics, Rider-First Engineering, compliance and light weight thanks to FACT 10r construction. With tube shapes born in our FreeFoil Shape Library and validated in the Win Tunnel, the new Roubaix is more aero than the Tarmac SL6. Meanwhile, to ensure weight and ride quality, we opted for a Rider-First Engineered™ design for optimal stiffness and flexibility in all sizes, from 44 to 64 cm. Of course, the frame has lost some serious weight in the process. And to prepare you for your own Hell of the North, we have made room for 33 mm tyres.
To match the new frame, we've also developed an all-new S-Works Pavé seatpost. It's not only the first comfortable seatpost that is ALSO aerodynamic, but also one that doesn't require additional weight or difficult construction. Starting with the same D-shaped design as on the Tarmac, we went the extra mile by creating extra flex in the top section and developing a new drop-clamp design in the frame. This provides great comfort while staying perfectly balanced with the front end, giving you a smooth and balanced ride no matter how rough the terrain.
With 20 mm of tuned suspension travel, the Future Shock 1.5 not only delivers a smoother, more comfortable ride, but also reduces fatigue and increases speed on rough terrain. Meanwhile, the new Smooth Boot improves aesthetics to achieve a neat transition from the head tube to the stem.
